Ron's other pride and joy, "Ron's Rod," -- a souped-up Model A Ford -- began with two rusted doors. He put them in the corner of his garage (the traditional rehearsal space of any good band). There, he saw a hot-rod where others saw ... two rusted doors. With the same two hands that knock out the StingRays' rhythms, he built "Ron's Rod" piece by piece. Thirteen years later, his classic car takes up an entire garage space. The band rehearses elsewhere, and the "Rod" from Ron's hands draws as much admiration as his rhythm from the same.
