“Is that the same Paul McCartney that’s in Wings?” StingRay Frank asked his cousins after reading “Beatles: Paul McCartney on bass,” in his Guinness Book of World Records. The StingRays’ master of trivia (and fabulous StingRay prizes) wanted to know because he’d bought the album (his first) after discovering it on a jukebox. After that, everything was Paul McCartney and everything was bass. He formed a “Wings” band in junior high, “opening” for the school play. As a StingRay, he’s been able to open for the artists whose music he loves: Danny and the Juniors, Dion, Mitch Ryder, the Guess Who. Besides bringing the bottom end to the StingRays sound, Frank is that guy who wears many hats in the band -- playing, singing, dancing, asking trivia... sometimes all at once. Frank does it all - with his hat on. If the hat does come off, you’ll find Frank at the movies – preferably one by Alfred Hitchcock.
